Patrick O’Donnell is an award-winning author and combat historian who served as a consultant on the television miniseries Band of Brothers as well as the Men of Honor game series. He was the only civilian volunteer to spend three months in Iraq in uniform and conduct oral histories of our troops in battle. He is also the founder of The Drop Zone, an award-winning website dedicated to preserving the oral histories of veterans. Not only is he an expert on WWII espionage, special operations, and counter-insurgency on the modern battlefield, but he previously served at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, working on modern weapons systems for urban warfare and researching and analyzing counter-insurgency strategies and tactics.
