PICTURE PAGE EXTRA! - "OPERATION HOMECOMING U.S.A."
Here are some photographs from Jim's visit to Branson, MO, for the June, 2005, Vietnam veterans gathering, which included a live broadcast of The Jim Bohannon Show from the Grand Palace Theater (and a big thank you to them, and everyone involved in the event, for their great hospitality!).
This is Jim on stage performing his co-hosting duties on June 18, 2005, on the stage in Saddlebrooke, MO. (He's the small speck just left of center!)

We've got some great photos from the live broadcast on June 17, 2005. Above are two shots of Jim with Medal of Honor winner Don Ballard. Below are a pair of shots of Jim with John Clarke, a man who survived six years in the infamous 'Hanoi Hilton.' That's John's wife Anne along with the guys.

Jim welcomed some stars and celebs as well. Above left is country star Jeannie Kendall, now embarkling on a solo career (she was a member of the duo "The Kendalls" along with her late father). To the right is Scotty Brink, an Armed Forces Radio disc jockey in the Vietnam days, who has since carved out a fine career as a radio programmer and executive. Finally, the shot below needs no other caption than "Ladies and Gentlemen...the Oak Ridge Boys!"
(By the way, a big thank you to KMBZ, Kansas City, MO, for the use of their facilities for the live broadcast! We really appreciate it!) |
