EFFORTS TO DEFUND THE POLICE AND THE LATEST ON POLICE REFORM
MARIE FISCHER, a member of Project 21 Member, a black conservative group, offers her thoughts on how these efforts may impact police departments throughout the country.
Project 21 member MARIE FISCHER is an information technology specialist in higher education with over 20 years of experience in the IT field. She also works as a freelance political consultant on various campaigns in the State of Maryland. Originally from Memphis Tennessee, she is currently a resident of Frederick County, Maryland — where she was a 2018 primary candidate for the Frederick County Board of Education. Marie is currently serving as the 3rd vice president for the Maryland Federation of Republican Women (MFRW). She was recently elected vice president of the Maryland Republican Women Leaders — an MFRW organization — and is also president of the Republican Club of Frederick County. The Maryland State Republican Party awarded her the Diana Waters Maryland Republican Woman of the Year award for her partisan activism in 2018. She was featured on Breitbart as one of the speakers at the initial #JEXIT rally in Washington, DC. In her presentation, Marie — an orthodox convert to Judaism — highlighted how she has endured as much antisemitism as racism since most do not expect her to be Jewish upon first encounters.
